The Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney is only able to provide a very limited amount of counselling or therapy at the moment.

There are two practices with therapists who are known personally by Michael and recommended by him — and who are associated with the Solution-focused approach.

Ian Johnsen

Offices in Beecroft, Bankstown and Kogorah

Ian Johnsen is a psychologist who has been closely associated with the Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney for a long time. He is recommended without hesitation.

Alpha Counselling

Offices in Eastwood and Five Dock

Lyn Worsley is Director and a therapist at Alpha and has a long association with Michael and the Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney. Christine Castle and Carmel O'Connell are also counsellors at Alpha who use Solution-focused Brief Therapy and have worked previously with Michael.

Please note that the practices mentioned above may have other therapists as well as those listed here and there are other counselling/therapy practices in these areas. The therapists recommended here are those who have a personal and professional association with Michael and who predominantly use a Solution-focused approach in their work.
