Solution-Focused Conference in Singapore

News item updated 15 December 2009

Michael Durrant was the Opening Keynote speaker at the recent 2009 Solution-Focused Brief Therapy Symposium in Singapore.

This two-day conference brought together practitioners interested in exploring further the applications of the Solution-Focused approach.

Michael also presented a plenary address on Solution-Focused Brief Therapy with Mental Health Issues and a workshop on Case Management using Solution-Focused principles.

Other presenters included our colleagues, Don Coles and Lyn Worsley, from Sydney.

The Symposium also initiated the "strategic alliance" between the Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney and the Brief Academy in Singapore. Brief Academy was the major organiser of the symposium. This partnership will see us exploring increased training in Solution-Focused Brief Therapy in Singapore and elsewhere in South-East Asia.
