The Brief Therapy Institute of Sydney offers individual and group clinical supervision, consultation to groups and teams (sometimes referred to as "Practice Review Consultation") and supervision for intern psychologists.
Individual supervision/consultation
A number of individual practitioners choose to meet with Michael Durrant or Frances Huber to review their clinical practice in Solution-focused Brief Therapy. Some come regularly (fortnightly or monthly), others request only a certain number of meetings to help work through a particular issue or "stuck-point".
Group supervision/Practice Review Consultation
We are available to provide supervision/consultation to groups and teams. Generally, these sessions are on a regular basis and allow a forum for reviewing practice, identifying and exploring successes, discussing "stuck" cases.
Such ongoing consultation can assist a team to "shape" the direction in which it wishes to develop.
Currently, Michael provides regular consultation to:
- an adolescent residential program
- a number of teams providing an "in-home" counselling service to families with a child or adolescent with a disability
- ... and more
